Hi.
We’re so happy you’re here.
“La Farine” is flour in French and for our Founder, Rachel, jewelry is an essential for her, just like flour is for a kitchen. Farine Jewels was a company born from reflection. After a challenging year, Rachel decided that it was time to change her usual course of action and instead of focusing on the negatives of a major life change, she leaned into the moments of her life that gave her joy, no matter the significance- small or big, they have all contributed to some of the most beautiful memories she had and she wanted to translate that into fine jewelry.
Taking that positive spirit and her forever love of jewelry, she enrolled at the GIA in the Graduate Gemologist Program and began taking metalsmithing classes to educate herself on how to select beautiful stones and craft high-quality fine jewelry.
Today, Farine Jewels is hand crafted by skilled jewelers in New York City. Each gemstone and diamond is hand selected by Rachel, who specifically searches for unheated and untreated natural gemstones- Mother Nature at her best. The beauty and energy of these stones fuel her designs.
About our jewelry:
All our products are handmade in New York City by metalsmiths, jewelers, and stone setters with years of experience, and even though artisans make every effort to create only the best, natural inclusions and characteristics are what make each piece unique and special.
Because we prioritize selecting natural and untreated gemstones, each gemstone has its own specific color and characteristics, making it one of a kind- no two gemstones are exactly alike. Most pieces we create are one of a kind, but that’s the beauty of selecting a Farine Jewels piece.
A Note from Rachel:
I’m new here and I’m sorry it took me so long to get here. You know, when you’re growing up all, sorts of people influence the route you’ll take to get to your path. For too long, I let those opinions of others that were deeply rooted in me take the driver seat, but I’m awake now and here I am. And here you are.
That’s a cryptic way of saying that I always wanted jewelry to be my path, but was never daring enough to take the route until now. As a GIA enrolled student, learning every day about the beautiful gemstones in the world, I humble myself here as a jewelry designer and curator of beautiful things to share my point of view with you.
Thank you for coming on this journey with me and I am excited to share my first, personally designed collection with you.
xx Rachel
